Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Meets with BGMEA President to Strengthen RMG Cooperation

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Yao Wen met with Mr. Mahmud Hasan Khan, President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), on Sunday (21 July, 2025) to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations.

During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on boosting cooperation between China and Bangladesh, with a particular focus on the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector — a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s economy. Ambassador Yao Wen emphasized China’s interest in deepening industrial collaboration, technology sharing, and investment in Bangladesh’s apparel industry.
