Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has called on all citizens of the country to be responsible from their respective positions to immediately maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. He has called on them to refrain from destroying the property of Sheikh Hasina’s family and not to attack any citizen of the country because they are associated with the politics of the fascist Awami League or on any other pretext.
Professor Yunus said that Sheikh Hasina had amassed power by oppressing and oppressing the people for years, so it is understandable that the protesters and their relatives have been subjected to oppression by Sheikh Hasina for years, as a result of which they are angry. Sheikh Hasina, who was ousted from power in a mass uprising, is trying to unite her party terrorists even after taking refuge in New Delhi, and is trying to destabilize the situation in the country. Sheikh Hasina, who has imposed a reign of oppression in Bangladesh for years, is still trying to obstruct the rebuilding of Bangladesh.
Understanding the anger that has been aroused in the minds of the people of the country, the Chief Advisor said, “Despite this, the government is calling on all citizens of the country to abide by the law. By doing so, we will be able to establish ourselves before the world as a nation that respects the law. The new Bangladesh that we are working together to build will be different from the old Bangladesh under the fascist rule only through adherence to the law.”
“Let us not undermine the sense of security and stability of Bangladeshis; any disregard for the law is a threat to the lives and property of citizens,” said Professor Yunus.
I call on all citizens who rose up to overthrow Sheikh Hasina’s regime and realize the dream of the country in July and August, “It is essential for us to prove to ourselves and our friends around the world that we will respect each other’s civil and human rights and abide by the law. Our commitment to this principle is unwavering.
He said, “The victors of the new Bangladesh, achieved through a bloody movement, should certainly not do anything that questions the country’s current democratic institutions and creates opportunities for comparison with the authoritarian Hasina regime.”
He said, our security forces are aware of this serious situation. The government is working with the country’s security forces to protect the law and order situation and the lives and property of all Bangladeshis. If there is an attempt to destabilize the country through destruction of property, attacks on individuals or any kind of provocative activity, the law enforcement agencies will immediately take strict action against anyone who creates chaos and anarchy. The government will bring the individuals and groups responsible for such activities to justice.
“The leaders of the fascist regime have left the country in complete ruins. As long as we remain vigilant and maintain our ethics, there is no chance for them to return. They will take any attack on their property as an opportunity to attract international attention and propagate their fabricated story,” the chief advisor said.
Stating that the autocratic Sheikh Hasina and her associates are on trial for crimes against humanity, he said, “The entire world is with us. Any deterioration in law and order at this time will send the wrong message to the world.”
The Chief Advisor called on all citizens to realize their dream of building a country where all Bangladeshis can live in security and dignity, work with self-control, and use their energy in creative, peaceful activities to bring about positive change in the country.
