Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, has expressed deep concern over the serious shooting injuries of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Manch and potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, by miscreants in the capital’s Bijoynagar area.
He said that such a violent attack in an election environment is completely unacceptable and it is a very sad incident for the peaceful political arena of the country.
The Chief Advisor has ordered all necessary measures to be taken by the concerned to ensure the highest level of treatment for the injured Osman Hadi. In addition, he has given necessary directions to the Ministry of Health to closely monitor the medical activities.
At the same time, the Chief Advisor has strictly ordered the law enforcement agencies to conduct a speedy and comprehensive investigation, identify all those involved in the attack and bring them to justice.
