The countrywide National Fisheries Week 2025 has been inaugurated by the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Monday (August 18, 2025).
The National Fisheries Week 2025 is being celebrated from Monday to Sunday with the theme ‘Building sanctuaries, filling the country with native fish’ with the aim of creating public awareness for the expansion, conservation, development and sustainable use of the country’s fisheries resources.
