Call for Strengthening Switzerland’s Cooperation in Bangladesh’s ICT Sector

Swiss Ambassador Reto Renggli met with Mr. Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, the Hon’ble Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant and State Minister for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, on Thursday (March 27).

During the meeting, they discussed the growing importance of Bangladesh’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. The State Minister briefed the Ambassador on Bangladesh’s key cybersecurity policy priorities.

Ambassador Reto Renggli highlighted Switzerland’s strong presence in Bangladesh’s ICT sector and emphasized the need to enhance business-to-business cooperation between the two countries. He particularly stressed the importance of direct communication and mutual collaboration between business enterprises.

State Minister Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb called for increased Swiss investment and technological support in Bangladesh’s technology sector. He noted that Bangladesh is rapidly advancing in the ICT sector and that international partnerships can further accelerate this growth.
