British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke met with the BNP Secretary General and top party leaders on Monday (17 June 2025). The meeting was held as part of a series of discussions with political parties.
The UK assured Bangladesh of its continued support. The discussions emphasized the importance of moving towards a democratic, inclusive and prosperous future.
The BNP exchanged views on the country’s current political situation, democratic practices, human rights and the pre-election environment.
