British High Commissioner in Dhaka, Mrs. Sarah Cook, met with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in a meeting today (March 11, 2025).
During the meeting at the Jamaat central office, they exchanged greetings in a very cordial atmosphere and exchanged views on the overall situation in Bangladesh in a cordial atmosphere.
During the exchange of views, they discussed the overall situation prevailing in Bangladesh, the establishment of democracy, the upcoming elections, human rights, the situation of minorities in Bangladesh, and the Rohingya problem. At the same time, they discussed ways to further improve and strengthen Bangladesh’s friendly relations with Great Britain.
British High Commissioner Sarah Cook was accompanied by Timothy Dockett, Political Counselor of the British High Commission, during the discussion.
