The Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, paid a courtesy call and meeting with the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting was held at the Jamaat central office in Bashundhara, the capital, on Wednesday (October 1, 2025) at 12 noon.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Paulo Fernando inquired about the health of the Ameer of Jamaat and wished him a full recovery.
In this meeting, held in a sincere and cordial atmosphere, they discussed the overall situation in Bangladesh, the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Brazil, investment prospects and various issues related to the interests of the international arena. In the meeting, the Ambassador assured Brazil’s continued support to Bangladesh and expressed hope that Brazilian investment in Bangladesh will increase further in the future.
Present with the Ameer-e-Jamaat during the meeting were the party’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Propaganda and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member Mubarak Hossain, and Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
