BNP delegation visits BYD factory on third day of China visit

A high-level delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) visited the factory and production center of BYD, the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, on Wednesday (June 25, 2025), the third day of its visit to China.

The delegation, led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, also included party standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, members of the Chairperson’s Advisory Council Md. Ismail Zabiullah, Professor Sukomal Barua, Zahir Uddin Swapan, BNP Media Cell Convener Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, and the Chairperson’s Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.

BYD authorities briefed the BNP representatives in detail about the company’s production activities, technological innovations, and global expansion plans. They said that the company currently directly employs about one million people. In addition to electric vehicles, BYD is also making important contributions internationally in the production of lithium batteries, advanced rail communication systems, and monorail construction.
