BNP candidate for Gazipur-1 constituency Md. Mojibur Rahman said that the people of Gazipur are ready to leave all the disappointments and sorrows of the past behind and unite to give victory to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
He said these things at a huge election rally held at Bhawal Rajbari ground in Gazipur on Tuesday (January 27, 2026) night.
Mojibur Rahman said that BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s presence in Gazipur tonight is not just a rally, but has brought new momentum and inspiration to the election fight for the five constituencies. He said, “Our beloved leader Tarique Rahman has come to Gazipur today and strengthened our movement and election struggle.”
He further said that the people of Gazipur have firmly decided this time – to realize the dream of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the symbol of the paddy sheaf will be made the winner in all five seats. He also said that the party leaders and activists and the common people are ready for this purpose.
Mujibur Rahman said, “We cannot say what will happen in other parts of the country. But we are sure about Gazipur – on February 12, the five seats of this district will go to the hands of the paddy sheaf. This is a commitment on behalf of the people of Gazipur.”
He called on the voters to remain united and said that only through the active participation of the people will it be possible to restore democracy and establish the right to vote.
In his speech as the chief guest, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman highlighted the future plans of BNP for the development of Gazipur, saying that a flyover will be constructed at the Joydevpur rail crossing, canal excavation, establishment of day-care centers in industrial areas, family cards for women and farmer cards for farmers will be introduced. He called for the candidates with the paddy sheaf symbol to win the upcoming elections to implement these plans.
At this time, the BNP candidates for five constituencies in Gazipur were introduced. They are – Mojibur Rahman in Gazipur-1 constituency, A. M. Manjurul Karim Roni in Gazipur-2, S. M. Rafiqul Islam Bachchu in Gazipur-3, Shah Riazul Hannan in Gazipur-4 and Fazlul Haque Milan in Gazipur-5 constituency.
The public meeting held under the chairmanship of Metropolitan BNP President Shawkat Hossain Sarkar was moderated by M. Manjurul Karim Roni and Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui. BNP Organizing Secretary Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul and several central and local level leaders also spoke at the meeting.
