Bangladesh’s leading IT company BJIT Group celebrated its Silver Jubilee on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. The company, which started its journey in 2001, organized a colorful event at the head office of BJIT Limited located in Satarkul, the capital, on Saturday (June 27, 2026) to mark 25 years of innovation, growth and global success.
The event was attended by the company’s shareholders, board members, officers and employees, business partners and distinguished guests from home and abroad.
Dai Sakakura, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Marubeni Corporation’s Next Generation Business Development Division, and a high-level delegation from the company were present as special guests at the event. Their presence is considered a reflection of the commitment of BJIT Group and Marubeni Corporation to further strengthen the long-standing strategic partnership.
In addition, Juha Nakki, President and CEO of Etteplan, one of BJIT’s strategic partners and shareholders, joined the event virtually. In his welcoming speech, he highlighted the long-standing successful partnership with BJIT and expressed his hope to achieve greater success together in the future.

Among them, Valmet cited BJIT’s 25 years of success as a unique recognition of the company’s expertise, dedication and commitment to excellence. Pauli Korhonen, Director of IT R&D and Engineering Process Domain at Valmet, praised BJIT’s professionalism, reliability and high-quality technical support and highlighted BJIT’s important contribution to achieving Valmet’s business goals.
To give the event a global dimension, officers and employees of BJIT Group offices located in different countries of the world joined virtually to celebrate the achievements of the organization and reaffirmed the commitment to move forward together in the future journey.
Akbar JM, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BJIT Limited, spoke at the event. He shared the dream, challenges and success story behind the company’s inception in 2001.
