Bhutan Ambassador to Bangladesh Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee called on Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam.

The meeting was held at the office of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications at the Secretariat on Tuesday (March 31, 2026).

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on further strengthening cooperation in the telecommunications and information technology sectors between the two countries. The Minister briefed the Ambassador about the ongoing progress in the information and communication technology sector of Bangladesh, expansion of digital services and future plans.

The Ambassador praised the development and progress of Bangladesh and expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation. Both sides agreed to work together to increase mutual cooperation, exchange technology and develop digital services.

Abdun Nasser Khan, Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, Jigdrel Y Tshering, Political Counselor of the Bhutanese Embassy, ​​and Dawa Tshering, Counselor for Trade Affairs, were present during the meeting.
