BGMEA, Intertek Bangladesh hold meeting to strengthen cooperation in sustainable garment industry

A meeting was held between international quality control body Intertek Bangladesh and Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara on Wednesday (August 20).

Intertek Bangladesh Regional Managing Director, South Asia Ajay Kapoor and BGMEA Senior Vice President Enamul Haque Khan were present at the meeting. Also present were BGMEA Directors Nafis-ud-Daulah and Joarder Mohammad Hosne Qamar Alam and Intertek Regional CFO, South Asia Ashish Gupta, Country Managing Director Neyamul Hasan and Head of Sales, Business Development and CRM Aliza Sultana.

The meeting discussed various aspects of addressing the ongoing challenges of the garment industry, creating a sustainable business environment, and enhancing mutual cooperation. In particular, views were exchanged on how to achieve more effective cooperation across the supply chain by using Intertek’s Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) services.
