BGMEA and Buyers’ Forum Meeting: Discussions on Sustainable Growth and Export Expansion of Bangladesh’s Garment Industry

On Thursday, (6 November, 2024) representatives of the Buyers’ Forum met with Md. Anwar Hossain, Administrator of the BGMEA, at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka, to discuss the current state of Bangladesh’s garment industry and its sustainable growth.

The meeting, attended by the BGMEA Support Committee, addressed key issues of the garment sector, including ways to further boost garment exports from Bangladesh.

Md. Anwar Hossain expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to global brands for their unwavering support and emphasized the need for continued collaboration.

The BGMEA Administrator highlighted the significant progress made by Bangladesh’s garment industry in areas such as worker safety, environmental sustainability, and welfare. He urged global brands to highlight these achievements on the global stage.

Representatives from major global brands including H&M, Marks & Spencer, VF Corporation, Gap, and others were present, reaffirming their commitment to Bangladesh’s garment sector.
