Bangladesh, US sign MoU to import wheat

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Bangladesh and the US to ensure the overall food security, nutritional quality and food supply of the country.

At the MoU ceremony, Food Advisor Ali Imam Majumder said that this MoU will create an opportunity to create a wider area of trust and mutual trade cooperation between Bangladesh and the US, and the people of both countries will benefit from it.

The MoU was signed by Md. Abul Hasanat Humayun Kabir, Director General of the Food Department, on behalf of the Bangladesh government, and Joseph K. Soyer, Vice President of the US Wheat Association, on behalf of the US.

Food Secretary Md. The MoU was signed in a simple ceremony presided over by Masudul Hasan.

Food Advisor Ali Imam Majumder, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Tracey Ann Jacobson, and Commerce Secretary, along with senior officials from both sides, were present at the event.
