At the initiative of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Bangkok, the Secretary (Bilateral) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Ambassador Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, together with the Ambassador of Bangladesh, met with Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister of Civil Aviation of Cambodia.

During the meeting, both sides reiterated their strong commitment to further advancing bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation. They also emphasized the importance of concluding the long-pending Air Services Agreement (ASA) between Bangladesh and Cambodia at the earliest possible time.
The discussions highlighted prospects for establishing direct air connectivity, expanding passenger and cargo services, and strengthening regional connectivity. Both sides expressed the view that the early conclusion of the Air Services Agreement would significantly contribute to the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both parties agreeing to maintain close communication and cooperation to move the civil aviation agenda forward.
