A Letter of Intent was signed between Bangladesh Air Force and Leonardo S.p.A Italy at the Air Force Headquarters in the presence of the Honorable Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hassan Mahmud Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, NSWC, PSC and the Honorable Ambassador of Italy to Bangladesh Antonio Alessandro. Principal Staff Officer, Bangladesh Armed Forces Division and relevant representatives of Italy were also present at the event.
It is to be noted that under this Letter of Intent, Leonardo S.p.A will supply Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft to Bangladesh Air Force as part of the state-of-the-art Multi-Role Combat Aircraft participating in the frontline war of Bangladesh Air Force.
