Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Delegation Engages in Dialogue with Garment Industry Leaders

A delegation from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, led by Central Member Secretary Mr. Arif Sohel, held a discussion with several garment industry owners at Zayant Tower, Uttara, on Tuesday (February 4, 2025). The delegation included Central Coordinators Abdullah Salehin Ayon, Sanjana Afifa Aditi, and Gazipur spokesperson Bashir Ahmed Apu. Their objective was to understand the challenges faced by the garment industry and explore potential solutions.

The meeting was graced by the presence of former BGMEA President and BFUT Trustee Board Chairman, Mr. Faruque Hassan, as the chief guest. During the discussion, Mr. Faruque Hassan and other garment industry owners provided a comprehensive overview of the sector’s current state, highlighting both opportunities and challenges.

Notable attendees included renowned industrialist and Chairman of Stylish Garments, Mr. Salauddin Chowdhury, and Managing Director Maksuda Khan Misha. The coordinators expressed their appreciation for the insights shared and conveyed their commitment to supporting the garment industry in contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
