The Annual Cultural Program and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2025-2026 Session of Bangladesh Air Force Shaheen English Medium College (BAF SEMS) was held on 20th and 21st May 2026 at Shaheen Hall. The two-day event saw the participation of students in various cultural performances and recognition of academic achievements.
On the last day of the program, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, was present as the chief guest. Representatives of Bangladesh Air Force Women’s Welfare Association (BAFWWA) and Others Women and Children’s Club (OWCC) were present as special guests. In addition, Saleha Khan, President of BAF Ladies Club and Children’s Club, Dhaka, was present at the program.
The chief guest presented special prizes to BAF SEMS students in recognition of their outstanding results in the Cambridge O-Level and A-Level May-June 2025 examinations. This year, two students achieved “Top in the World” honors in O-Level Mathematics-D, one in Additional Mathematics and one in Accounting, which is considered a significant achievement for the institution.
The chief guest praised the dedication and contribution of the teachers of the Mathematics and Accounting Departments in this success of the students. Later, the Best Student Award and “Student of the Decade” award were presented in the junior and senior categories.
Wajiha Tajim in the junior category and Ridhima Sarkar in the senior category won this honor. Sahil Wazir Mamun was honored as the “Student of the Decade” for his extraordinary success and overall contribution. In addition, in recognition of his special contribution in the field of education, Mohammad Emdadul Haque and Sultan Mahmud received the “Best Teacher 2025-26” award in the school and college categories, respectively.
Air Vice Marshal Syed Saidur Rahman, Air Commander of Air Force Base Bashar and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAF SEMS, was present at the event.
Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, Principal of BAF SEMS, in his welcome address, highlighted the progress of the institution’s academic and co-curricular activities.
The students presented captivating performances of songs, recitations, dances and dramas at the event, which attracted the attention of the guests, parents and senior officials of the Air Force.
In his speech, the chief guest praised the success of the students and said that BAF SEMS will continue the trend of excellence in academic and co-curricular activities in the future.
