Alliance for Transformation Organizes Seminar in Dhaka on Youth Role and State Reforms for Future Bangladesh

A significant seminar titled “Future Bangladesh: Role of the Youth, Reforms and the Future of Democracy” was organized by Alliance for Transformation at a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka.

The seminar featured in-depth and constructive discussions on the country’s current political and social realities, the post–July 2024 mass uprising context, aspirations of the young generation, restoration of democracy, necessary state reforms, and a possible roadmap for building future Bangladesh.

The event was attended as Chief Guest by Dr. Humayun Kabir, Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In his address, he emphasized that the youth must play a leading role in building a democratic, accountable, and inclusive state. He noted that active participation of young people is essential for restoring democracy and implementing meaningful state reforms.

Special Guests at the seminar included Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim, International Affairs Secretary of BNP; Miftah Siddiqui, Co-Organizing Secretary of BNP (Sylhet Division); Abdul Kader Bhuiyan Jewel, Assistant Volunteer Affairs Secretary of BNP; and Tabith Awal, Member of BNP’s Executive Committee and President of the Bangladesh Football Federation. The speakers highlighted the importance of democratic transition, transforming political culture, and nurturing youth leadership in the country.

Among others present were Shah Nazim Uddin (Munan), President of Alliance for Transformation; Md. Enamul Kabir Shishir, Secretary General; senior journalist and Director (Media & Operations) Sakhawat Kawsar; Director of International Affairs Asad Murad Talukder; Director of Environmental Affairs Lutfur Rahman Badal; Director of Communications Jahidur Rahman Uday; senior journalist Shafik Shafi; and Rakibul Talukder Bindu.

Leaders from various political, social, and professional organizations, along with students, youth leaders, and media professionals, also participated in the seminar. Speakers collectively called for utilizing the strength of the youth, upholding ethics, and ensuring good governance to build a prosperous and democratic Bangladesh.
