Agreement signed to implement ‘Ababil NG’ core banking software in Agrani Bank’s Islamic banking activities

Desk Report:

A deal has been signed with Millennium Information Solutions Limited to implement the feature-rich core banking software ‘Ababil NG’ to enhance the capabilities and modernize Agrani Bank PLC’s existing Islamic banking software.

At the agreement signing ceremony held at the board room of Agrani Bank’s head office on Tuesday (January 20), Agrani Bank PLC’s Managing Director Md. Anwarul Islam and Millennium Information Solutions Limited’s Managing Director and CEO Mahmud Hossain signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Senior executives and officials of both organizations were present at the ceremony.

Under the agreement, Agrani Bank PLC’s Islamic banking window expansion program will be further accelerated and the Islamic banking activities of the bank will increase significantly. The implementation of this modern core banking software will make it possible to gradually expand Islamic banking activities from the currently operating 60 Islamic banking windows to all branches in the country.
