Acting President and Speaker of the National Assembly Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has formally bid farewell to Bangabhaban. Formal arrangements were made at Bangabhaban on Thursday (August 20) afternoon to mark his departure.
A smart contingent of the armed forces presented a guard of honour to Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmed at the farewell ceremony. He inspected the guard and took the salute. Later, he exchanged farewell greetings and well-wishes with the officials present.
He left Bangabhaban at 1:25 pm on Thursday.
The chiefs of the three services, the military and civil secretaries to the President and senior government officials were present at the farewell ceremony.
