Indian High Commission in Dhaka celebrates India’s 79th Independence Day

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day. The day was celebrated with a formal function at the High Commission premises on Saturday morning (August 15).

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Prannoy Verma hoisted the national flag at the function. Later, he read out the address to the nation by the Hon’ble President of India.

Indian nationals residing in Dhaka participated in the function. A mesmerising cultural performance was held at the function, highlighting various aspects of Indian culture and heritage.
