Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh SAIDA Shinichi visited the Rancon Auto Industries Ltd. plant on Sunday (August 10, 2025), where the Mitsubishi Xpander is now being assembled locally.
During the visit, the Ambassador observed the assembly process and exchanged views with company officials on expanding local manufacturing capabilities and strengthening Japan-Bangladesh industrial cooperation.
The initiative to assemble the Mitsubishi Xpander domestically marks a significant step toward enhancing the country’s automotive sector and creating new opportunities for technology transfer and employment.
