To further strengthen China-Bangladesh microcredit relations, Grameen Bank and Grantees delegation recently successfully completed their visit to China. During the visit from 21 to 25 July 2025, the delegation participated in various activities and gained practical experience of China’s rural development model and inclusive financial system.

One of the most important parts of the visit was the participation in the China-Bangladesh Microcredit Seminar, where representatives and experts from the two countries exchanged views on microcredit activities, rural economic development and women’s empowerment.

The delegation visited a branch of Grameen Bank located in Shangdu County, Wulanchab City and directly observed the working process there. They had close discussions with Chinese rural women and learned about the role of microcredit in changing their lives.

In addition, as part of the visit, the delegation visited the historical sites of China, the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Through this, they closely observed various aspects of China’s rich history, culture and modern development.
The visit has created a unique opportunity for mutual cooperation and learning between China and Bangladesh. The exchange of experiences between the two countries, especially in rural development, microfinance activities and women’s financial inclusion, has paved the way for more effective initiatives in the future.
