China’s emergency medical aid supplies were officially handed over to the Bangladesh government on Saturday (July 26, 2025). The aid was handed over by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Yao Wen at a ceremony in Dhaka.
Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh Md. Saidur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the ceremony. Also present were Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Zafar, and Director of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Md. Nasir Uddin.
The emergency medical supplies sent by China included more than 2,000 essential medicines and surgical equipment. The supplies were provided by the Foreign Affairs Office of China’s Yunnan Province and Wuhan Third Hospital.
This aid is part of the urgent initiative provided by the Chinese government to assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of those injured in the recent plane crash in Bangladesh.
Secretary of the Ministry of Health Md. Saidur Rahman sincerely thanked the Chinese government for this initiative.
