On the evening of Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Dhaka hosted a special reception in honor of a high-level delegation from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, ahead of their official visit to China.
The reception was attended by H.E. Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of mutual understanding, cooperation, and continued engagement between China and Bangladesh. He also expressed optimism about the strengthening of bilateral relations through such visits and exchanges.

The delegation was led by Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer (Chief) of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Other members of the delegation present at the event included Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Abdul Halim, Maulana Muhammad Shahjahan, and Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair.
Also in attendance were Central Executive Council members Mr. Saiful Alam Khan Milon and Mr. Mobarak Hossain; President of the party’s Industry and Commerce Department Mr. Shahidul Islam, and Secretary Dr. Anwarul Azim. Personal Secretary to the Ameer Mr. Nazrul Islam, Mr. Omar Hasib Shafiullah, and Mr. Naushad Ali Farhad were also present.
It is noteworthy that a 9-member high-level delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, will visit China from July 11 to July 15, 2025, at the invitation of the Chinese government.
