Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral trade and cooperation.
The MoU was signed at the inaugural ceremony of the “Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Forum” at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka on Monday (April 28).
On behalf of BGMEA, its Administrator and Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau Md. Anwar Hossain and on behalf of PRGMEA, Vice Chairman Amir Riaz Chotani signed the agreement.
Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maruf, FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman and BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem were present at the event.
It was hoped that this agreement would increase trade, create joint investment opportunities and open new horizons for technical cooperation in the garment sector of the two countries.
