Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, has welcomed the decision to suspend countervailing duties on Bangladeshi exports to the United States for 90 days.
In a post on his verified Facebook page late on Wednesday (April 9, 2025), he thanked US President Donald Trump.
Mentioning the US President’s X (former Twitter) account in the post, Professor Yunus wrote, “Thank you, President, for your positive response to our request to suspend tariffs for 90 days. We will continue to work with your administration in support of your trade agenda.”
