February 25 declared as ‘National Martyrs’ Day’

The government has declared February 25 as ‘National Martyrs’ Day’.

The announcement was made today (February 23, 2025) through a circular issued by the Cabinet Division.

The circular signed by Deputy Secretary Tania Afroz states that the government has declared February 25 every year as ‘National Martyrs’ Day’ and has decided to include that date as a ‘C’ category day to be observed as ‘National Martyrs’ Day’ (excluding government holidays).

It further states that all the ministries, departments and organizations concerned have been requested to comply with this decision properly.
