Seminar on ‘Driving Textile Competitiveness: Supply Chains as the Game Changer’ Held

The 23rd Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025 – Winter Edition, jointly organized by Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS-Global USA) and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Tex China), is being held for four days from January 15-18. The 7th Dhaka International Denim Show 2025 is being held concurrently.

During the exhibition, a seminar titled ‘Driving Textile Competitiveness: Supply Chains as the Game Changer’ was co-organized by the Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society on January 16 from 11 am to 1 pm.

The seminar was conducted by Naqib Khan, President of Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society. The keynote speaker at the event was Wahid Anwar, Head of Supply Chain, R-Pec Bangladesh Limited. Other speakers at the seminar were Md. Ferdous Khan Roman, Head of Supply Chain Management, Aptech Group and Md. Afsar Hossain, CEO, Trans Trade International and Vice President, Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society. More than a hundred participants from different sectors participated in the seminar.

Naqib Khan presented the topics of discussion at the beginning of the seminar and commented that supply chain management can be a game changer in the economy of Bangladesh to drive the economy of Bangladesh. The speakers said that the economy of Bangladesh is mainly dependent on the garment sector, so effective supply chain management is needed to advance this industry.
