Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Barrister Andaliv Rahman Partha has been appointed as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
This information was given in a notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani on Friday (August 21, 2026) night.
The notification said that the Prime Minister has distributed and re-distributed official responsibilities in accordance with Rule 3(4) of the ‘Rules of Business, 1996’. In continuation of this, Barrister Andaliv Rahman has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The notification also said that other matters of the notifications issued on February 17, March 4, March 12 and March 25 will remain unchanged. It has also been stated that this new order will come into effect immediately.
Barrister Andaliv Rahman is the chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP). He was elected as a member of parliament from Bhola-1 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.
