A high-level meeting has been held to make Gulshan-Banani-Baridhara Lake, an elite area of the capital, environmentally friendly, attractive and citizen-friendly. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s Office in the capital’s Secretariat on Tuesday (May 19, 2026), discussed the current status of the lake, its development prospects and long-term sustainable plans in detail.
The meeting particularly focused on issues such as controlling water pollution in the lake, preserving ecological balance, strengthening beautification activities and increasing modern citizen facilities centered on the lake.
