NCP will not attend the cabinet swearing-in ceremony

Staff Correspondent:

The elected members of parliament of the National Citizens Party (NCP) will not be present at the cabinet swearing-in ceremony. The NCP has taken this decision due to the non-taking of the oath by the BNP’s Constitution Reform Council.

The NCP made this announcement on its verified official Facebook page at around 1 pm today, Tuesday (February 17, 2026). Earlier, six elected members of parliament of the National Citizens Party took the oath.
