Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that they are firmly committed to never touching people’s wealth. Corruption does not go with their character and virtue. Rather, it is their responsibility to return the looted deposits of the people to their real owners.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a mass communication and pre-procession rally organized in front of the East Bayshteki Graveyard Mosque in Ward No. 4, Uttar Kafrul, Dhaka-15 parliamentary constituency at 4:30 pm on Sunday (February 1).
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “If any mother or sister has been hurt by our statements or words, then please forgive us for the sake of Allah. We want to work for the people with dedication and honesty. May Allah accept our efforts.”
He further said, “We do not want to implement any personal or group agenda. Our politics is for the welfare of the people and building a just society.”
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami executive member Mobarak Hossain, central working committee member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Nayeb Ameer Abdur Rahman, central vice-president of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation Laskar Md. Taslim, former central president of Chhatra Shibir Zahidul Islam, DUCSUR GS S. M. Farhad, Kafrul Dakshin Thana Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Deputy Superintendent Anwarul Karim, Thana Secretary Md. Abu Nahid, and various ward presidents and responsible leaders were present at the rally and mass communication.
A peaceful procession was taken out after the rally. The procession circled various roads in the area. During this, the participants raised various slogans demanding the establishment of a just society and the formation of a corruption-free state.
