a2i Holds Day-Long Workshop on Digitalization of Executive Magistrate Courts through E-Court Framework

In line with the directives of the Cabinet Division, the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme is developing and implementing an E-Court framework across the country to digitalize the operations of Executive Magistrate Courts, Mobile Courts, and General Certificate Courts.

To collect stakeholder feedback and practical user experiences regarding the development and implementation of the E-Court system, a2i organized a day-long workshop today at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The workshop was chaired by Ms. Suraiya Begum, Joint Secretary, Reform Wing, Cabinet Division. Mr. Mohammad Khaled Hasan, Additional Secretary, District and Field Administration Wing, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Abdur Rafiq, Project Director (Joint Secretary), a2i Programme, was present as the Special Guest.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Khaleda Khatun Rekha, Consultant (Senior Assistant Secretary), a2i. The progress and future roadmap of the E-Court initiative were presented by Mr. Md. Abdur Rafiq, while the objectives of the workshop were explained by Mr. Fazlul Zahid Pavel, Senior Consultant (Deputy Secretary), a2i.

A live demonstration of the E-Court system was conducted by Ms. Khaleda Khatun Rekha and Mr. Masud Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT), Sylhet.

Officials from 16 ministries and divisions participated in the workshop. The feedback and recommendations gathered from the participants are expected to play a vital role in making the E-Court system more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. The proposed directions are also anticipated to significantly contribute to shaping the future development and nationwide implementation of the E-Court framework.
