British High Commissioner pays courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer

On the morning of December 4 (Thursday), a courtesy call was held by the Honorable British High Commissioner in Dhaka, Ms. Sarah Cook, with the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at his Bashundhara office.

He was accompanied by the High Commission’s Head of Political Affairs, Mr. Timothy Duckett, and the Ameer-e-Jamaat was accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Ameer-e-Jamaat, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.

In this meeting, which was held in a very cordial and cordial atmosphere, they openly discussed various issues prevailing in Bangladesh. It was expressed that the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom will be further strengthened in the future.

At this time, the issue of the upcoming visit of Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman to the UK was also discussed.

It is worth noting that during this visit, a meeting is scheduled between the Ameer-e-Jamaat and a senior minister of the British government.
