Chinese Embassy presents colorful display of China’s rich culture at International Charity Bazaar in Bangladesh

On November 29, 2025, the Foreign Office Spouses’ Association (FOSA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh hosted an International Charity Bazaar, with participation from nearly 20 foreign diplomatic missions in Bangladesh. The Chinese embassy in Bangladesh set up a booth in the bazaar.

Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, along with his spouse and embassy diplomats, attended. Mr. Md Touhid Hossain, Foreign Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, accompanied by his spouse, and Mr. Asad Alam Siam, Foreign Secretary of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, were present at the event.

The site was filled with people in a warm and bustling atmosphere. The Chinese Embassy’s booth was tastefully decorated with distinctive cultural elements, showcasing a variety of traditional handicrafts, specialty foods, souvenirs, and cultural products that drew large crowds. The traditional snack “Tofu Pudding” cooked by the embassy chef, was especially popular and sold out quickly. Our diplomats all dressed in traditional Chinese attire, enthusiastically explained the cultural stories behind each product to the guests while selling them, promoting Chinese traditions. The guests praised the exquisite craftsmanship of the product and the profound cultural heritage of China.
