French Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer

French Ambassador to Dhaka, Mr. Jean-Marc Serre-Charlet, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Wednesday (November 19). He was also accompanied by Mr. Christian Beck, Head of France’s Political Department, during the meeting.

The meeting was held in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. During the discussions, both sides discussed potential cooperation between Bangladesh and France at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels, mutual interests and the importance of upholding democratic values.

Ambassador Jean-Marc Serre-Charlet reaffirmed France’s support in ensuring a peaceful and democratic transition to the upcoming general elections.
