EU, Germany jointly host Solar Agriculture Panel Program in Bangladesh

The European Union (EU) in Bangladesh, in partnership with the German Embassy Dhaka and German International Cooperation (GIZ), organized a special event titled “Sun, Soil and Sustainability”. The event focused on the importance of food and energy security, where discussions were held on the use of solar panels in agriculture.

The European Union is implementing this initiative under the “Green Energy Transition – Policy Advisory Partnership” project jointly with Germany and GIZ. The project aims to modernize Bangladesh’s power grid, increase the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency.

Experts from the agriculture, energy and technology sectors participated in the event and shared successful examples, technologies and policies from different countries.
