Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Partners with DHL to Drive Green Logistics Transformation

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC and DHL Express Bangladesh have reached a new milestone in sustainable logistics by signing a partnership agreement under the GoGreen Plus initiative.

The collaboration aims to advance green innovation and significantly reduce carbon emissions through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

The agreement was signed at the DHL Express Bangladesh Head Office by Md. Miarul Haque, Managing Director of DHL Express Bangladesh, and Najith Meewanage, Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Bangladesh Operations.

Under the GoGreen Plus program, DHL enables businesses to minimize their transportation-related carbon footprint. Through this partnership, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC is set to achieve up to a 50% reduction in its Scope 3 CO₂ emissions, marking a major move toward its sustainability goals.

DHL Express Bangladesh emphasized that building a low-carbon logistics ecosystem is now essential for long-term environmental responsibility, and the GoGreen Plus initiative is designed to support businesses in this transition.

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC stated that environmental sustainability has become a core commitment for modern financial institutions, and partnering with a global logistics leader like DHL will strengthen its journey toward a greener and more responsible future.
