The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has nominated M Manjurul Karim Rony for Gazipur-2 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Assembly elections. He is currently serving as the General Secretary of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP.
In a reaction after receiving the nomination, M Manjurul Karim Rony expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty and expressed deep gratitude to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
He also said, “Alhamdulillah, I express my gratitude to Allah Almighty. Today, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has put trust in me and nominated me for Gazipur-2 constituency. My father, your beloved leader Professor MA Mannan, is not with us today, but his ideals, teachings, and path are still my inspiration.”
“This nomination is not just mine alone, it is the achievement of every person in Gazipur and all the colleagues who fought shoulder to shoulder with me to restore democracy under the leadership of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Today, I am calling on all the leaders and activists of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP and its affiliates to work together for the sake of the rice paddy. Let unity be our strength and our identity under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.”

It is reported that after the announcement of BNP’s candidate in Gazipur-2 constituency, new enthusiasm has been created among the party workers and supporters in the area.
