In the upcoming Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) elections, Progressive Business Council Panel Leader Shawkat Aziz Russell has promised that if elected, he will create a business-friendly environment for the country’s nearly 40 million businessmen and provide all-out support in expanding their businesses.
Participating in a host event organized by the Progressive Business Council at the Shaheed Abu Sayeed International Convention Center in Shahbagh in the capital on Saturday (October 25, 2025), he said, “Now is the time for all businessmen to unite and contribute to the country’s economic progress. Our goal will be to further strengthen the national economy by protecting the interests of businessmen and increasing their capabilities.”
Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) President and Amber Group Chairman Shawkat Aziz Russell also said that any problem of the traders will be solved through mutual understanding. He assured that if elected, he will work with the traders at the field level to solve real problems.
The event included traditional host of Chittagong, cultural performances and lucky coupon draw. Representatives of various business organizations that are members of FBCCI were present at the meeting.
