Foreign Affairs Adviser expresses gratitude for EU support in Rohingya crisis and climate resilience

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain held a bilateral meeting with Ms. Hadja Lahbib, European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly’s High-Level Week.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on a range of priority issues including good governance, women’s empowerment, disaster preparedness, climate resilience, and the ongoing Rohingya humanitarian crisis.

The Foreign Affairs Adviser appreciated the European Union’s continued support for Bangladesh’s reform initiatives and humanitarian assistance. He also reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to deepen cooperation with the EU in areas of shared priority, underscoring the country’s readiness to work closely with the Union to address common challenges and advance sustainable development goals.
