A farewell reception was organized for a high-level delegation of the National Citizens Party (NCP) at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Dhaka on Thursday (21 August 2025). The delegation is visiting China at the official invitation of the Chinese government.
In his welcome speech, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Yao Wen highlighted the historical friendly relations and the importance of political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
NCP Convener Mr. Md. Nahid Islam and senior leaders of the party were present at the reception. They termed the invitation of the Chinese government as significant for Bangladesh and expressed hope that the mutual relations between the two countries would further strengthen.
