Pakistan Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has arrived in Bangladesh on a 4-day visit with the aim of strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
He was welcomed by Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin when he arrived at Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday night (August 20, 2025). Senior officials of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the time.

The visit will discuss increasing trade between the two countries, identifying new areas of investment, and further strengthening economic relations. The current trade prospects and future cooperation issues between Bangladesh and Pakistan will be the focus of the visit.
Jam Kamal Khan will be in Dhaka from August 21 to 24. Four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed during the visit, which will help increase trade cooperation between the two countries. During the visit, he will meet with high-level government representatives and leaders of business organizations. He will also visit Chittagong Port, a pharmaceutical company and a steel factory.
This high-level visit is expected to further strengthen the long-standing friendly and economic relations between the two countries.
