32 Bangladeshis repatriated from Iran in second batch amid war situation

The second batch of Bangladeshis living in Iran, who are seeking repatriation, arrived in Bangladesh by air on Tuesday (July 8) in view of the war situation that has arisen there. The group of 32 people travelled from Tehran, the capital of Iran, to Mashhad by road. From there, they reached Dhaka via Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Iran has coordinated and supervised the repatriation process. Through this program, the continuity of the government’s initiative to safely bring back Bangladeshi citizens residing in crisis areas has been maintained.
