21-hour talks with Iran fail, Vance returns without deal

Diplomatic Desk:

US Vice President JD Vance is leaving Pakistan due to the lack of agreement with Iran on the nuclear weapons issue. He boarded his official plane in Islamabad at 7:08 am local time on Sunday (April 12, 2026).

JD Vance said that the talks were not prolonged due to Iran’s refusal to move away from its position of developing nuclear weapons.

These intensive and high-level talks, which lasted for 21 hours, ended without any positive results. As a result, the US representatives are returning to the United States without any agreement.
